5 day Family Package - Auckland to Auckland

Day one  Auckland - The City of Sails
Upon arrival at Auckland Airport, you will pick up your rental vehicle and drive to your central city accommodation.  This day is free for you to unpack, relax and explore the city area.  Some ideas you may wish to consider for the day:
Viaduct Basin - This vibrant waterfront precinct was developed to provide a focus for America's Cup Yacht Race.  This is also a great place for nighttime entertainment with it's many cafes and bars.
Sky City - Standing 328 meters tall, it's pretty hard to miss. Being one of New Zealand's most popular entertainment destinations.  Having 2 casinos, ten restaurants and bars and from the Observation level, the best view of Auckland City and surrounding areas.
Rainbow's End - Situated at Manukau (approx ½ hours drive from the city on the Southern Motorway), this is New Zealand's Premier Theme Park.  23 Acres of rides and attractions.

Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World - Explore the wilds of Antarctica, living in this frozen habitat are colonies of King and Gentoo Penguins, watch then play in real ice and snow.  Then travel deep beneath the ocean to see giant stingray, moray eels and come face to face with the awesome predators of the deep - SHARKS - Only centimeters away.
Stay in central Auckland accommodation overnight.

Day two  Auckland to Rotorua 
Today you drive south to Rotorua, a journey of approx 3.5 hours.  Rotorua is one of the Pacific's most active thermal areas and is a place of vibrant Maori culture and great natural beauty.  You can view magnificent examples of mud pools, geyers and steaming fumaroles. Some of the many geothermal areas are Wai-o-tapu, Waimangu or Hell's Gate.  Surrounding Rotorua are 14 beautiful lakes offering fishing, water sports or try your hand at whitewater rafting, lunging or tandem skydiving.  Let us know your choice so we can arrange it for you.  Tonight you will visit a marae, enjoy a concert and hangi (traditional Maori meal).  This is your chance to experience traditional Maori culture.

Day three  Rotorua
Today you have many option like visiting Te Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, Pohutu Geyser, the Paradise Valley Springs, Bird and Wildlife Park, the Agrodome Sheep Show and Skyline Skyrides Gondola.

Day four  Rotorua to Waitomo  
Today you will drive to Waitomo, home to the famous Waitomo Caves (approx 3 hours drive).  On your way, stop at the Otorohanga Kiwi House and Native Bird Park.  This is the best view you can get of the genuine (feathered)
kiwi and other rare native birds.  Enjoy the peaceful rural location of Waitomo. The Caves are the area's best known and world famous natural attraction with their vast caverns full of eerie stalactite and stalagmite formations.  The huge network of limestone caves are home to millions of glowworms.
Additional:  Take a tour of your choice to admire the glowworms by boat, walks or blackwater rafting.

Day five  Waitomo to Auckland 
Today you will head north back to Auckland in time to meet your return flight.  The drive will take approximately 3 hours, through some of the beautiful green farming pastures that New Zealand is famous for.  Drop off your rental vehicle as per your Rental Agreement.

Standard package
including basic rental car and motel style accommodation NZ$1391.00 for two adults and two children under 12 years.
Rental car would be a family sedan, 1.8-2.0 litre engine, 4-8 years of age, well maintained with 24 hour road-side assistance for peace of mind.

Deluxe package including luxury family sized rental car and hotel style accommodation NZ$2041.00 for two adults and two children under 12 years.
Rental car would be a luxury family full sized sedan, 3.0 litre engine, less than 2 years old.
