Paterson Inlet Cruises (Including Ulva Island Guided Walk)

Excursion includes: 2 hours 30 minutes of cruising beautiful Paterson Inlet and a 45 minute guided walk on Ulva Island.

The Paterson Inlet crise takes in the site of the historic Whalers' Base in Paterson Inlet prior to visiting Ulva Island.

Ulva Island is an internationally acclaimed open sanctuary, where many rare and endangered native species of birdlife and plants flourish in a predator-free pretected environment.

During the easy guided walk, passengers will see and hear a wide range of native birds. Though now rare on the mainland, the inquisitive flightless weka thrives on Ulva Island, and is usually encountered.

The tracks are well-formed and suitable for most ages and fitness levels. This guided walk through the native podocarp forest is comprehensive and informative, and small group sizes make it highly personalised.
