Office Hours:
Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown, Wellington.
- Auckland and Christchurch: Daily from 7.00am to 6.00pm, closed Christmas Day
- Queenstown: Daily from 08.00am to 6.00pm in the summer months, daily from 08.00 to 5.00pm in the winter months, closed Christmas Day
- Wellington: Monday - Saturday 09.00am to 6.00pm, closed Christmas Day
Pick-up and/or drop-off in Queenstown and Wellington incur a NZ$100.00 fee (same city pick-up and drop-off, one fee applies)
Pick-up and drop-off after branch hours may be available by prior arrangement. NZ$100.00 fee applies.
Vehicle Insurance:
All vehicles are insured for the damage to the vehicle or to the property of a Third Party. The hirer is responsible for the first NZ$5,000.00 (''the excess") of the cost of damage to Third Party property or to the rented vehicle, including single vehicle accident, windscreen, and tyre damage, towing and recovery costs, theft, fire, break-in or vandalism. This also includes the cost of the daily rental for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs (demurrage). The excess applies in respect of each claim, not rental.
The excess is applicable regardless of who is at fauly and must be paid at the time the accident report is completed, not at the completion of the rental. The excess will be refunded if we are successful in recovering the cost of the damages from the Third Party.
This NZ$5,000.00 excess can be reduced, in most circumstances, by the purchase of Excess Reduction Option 1 or Excess Reduction Option 2.
Excess Reduction Option 1
Cost per day NZ$20.00 (max charge NZ$1,000.00) - Excess reduced to NZ$2,500.00
With the Excess Reduction Option 1 the hirer is responsible for the first NZ$2,500.00 of any accident cost of damage to Third Party property or to the rented vehicle, including single vehicle accident, windscreen, and tyre damage, towing and recovery costs, theft, fire, break-in or vandalism. This also includes the cost of the daily rental for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs (demurrage). The excess applies in respect of each claim, not rental.
Excess Reduction Option 2
Cost per day NZ$38.00 (max charge NZ$1,900.00) - Excess reduced to NZ$0.00
With the Excess Reduction Option 2 the hirer will not have to pay any excess at all for any damage to the vehicle or property of a Third Party.
